Most of the dates specific visas (like Vietnam, Russia, etc) allow you a certain duration of stay. For instance, with a Russian visa you can select dates 30 days apart and that’ll be the window in which you need to enter and exit the country.Dates of entry and exit are counted as a part of the 30 days allowance, so the visa will be valid from the 1st to the 30th of October for example, rather than from the 1st of October to the 1st of November.
So, if the visa is valid from the 1st to the 30th of October, you will be able to enter Russia on or after the 1st of October and will have to leave before or on the 30th of October. If you are planning to stay in the country for only a few days, let’s say 15 (10th to 25th of October), we recommend taking advantage of the longest allowed duration and extending the start and end date of the visa to cover a few days before the proposed date of entry and a few dates after the proposed date of exit. So if you are in Russia between the 10th and the 25th of October, the visa validity you request can be from the 1st to the 30th of October.
